It depends on several factors. The duration of a move is influenced by the temperature, the time of year, the weight of the cargo, and the origin and destination locations.

Are my belongings covered in case of loss or damage?

Of course! The coverage is called "Replacement Value Protection." In this case, the cost of repair, replacement, or cash settlement may cover up to the replacement value of the item in question and up to the maximum declared value (no sentimental value is guaranteed or included).

What should I do with my jewelry and valuables?

We recommend that you take irreplaceable and very valuable items with you, such as important documents, stamp collections, jewelry, and other items. A high-value item is any item whose individual (or combined, if a set of items) replacement value exceeds $10,000.

However, if you entrust us with the transport of high-value items, you must provide us with a list and their respective values before loading, to clearly establish that they are part of the load and extend our liability accordingly. High-value items should be listed separately. Ensure that high-value items are only listed once on the inventory. Finally, keep supporting documents to prove their value in case of loss or damage.

What should I pack?

It depends on the type of move you're looking for. Most customers prefer to leave this task to our experienced packers: they have the training, equipment, methods, and experience necessary to ensure impeccable packing of your belongings.

Please note that the carrier is not responsible for the contents of the boxes packed by the customer because they have no way of checking whether the packing has been done properly.

What should I do with my electronics and household appliances?

It is your responsibility to have these appliances prepared before loading them into the truck or container. It is also important to remember to completely empty your refrigerators and freezers of all food (if your household is going into storage, it is important to clean them before putting them away). In addition, it is the customer's responsibility to unplug and replug all appliances. If you would like us to take care of any of these additional services, we will be happy to provide you with a quote.

Front-loading washer and dryer:

Did you know that it is strongly recommended to secure the tanks before handling these devices? In fact, if they are not secured before transport, they can become unbalanced (our insurance does not cover these breakages if they have not been secured).

Can I move my frozen food?

It is good to know that if you plan to have your frozen food transported, with or without the knowledge of the carrier, the latter cannot be held responsible for their condition at destination.

Such restrictions are intended to protect the investment in the contents of the freezer and also to ensure the health of your family.

Can I take my plants and perishable products with me?

We can only transport your plants under certain conditions and they will travel at your own risk, as changes in temperature, lack of water and light can damage them.

When moving “long distance” and/or for storage, what should you do when loading?

On moving day, the mover will first place a numbered label on each item, then take inventory of the belongings, detailing their physical condition. We recommend that you accompany them during this task and ask them to explain their observations to you. Once this work is completed, you will need to sign the inventory to indicate your agreement with its contents.

When moving “long distance” and/or for storage, what should you do when unloading?

When loading your belongings, the mover will have given you a copy of the inventory that was taken, which you will use in conjunction with the inventory control form (which will be given to you upon delivery). Check your belongings on the inventory control form as they are unloaded and, if applicable, note any new damage or loss on the inventory sheet in the "condition at delivery" column. Once delivery is complete, record your comments on your copy of the inventory and ask the driver to sign it.

If a claim should arise, you will simply need to contact us at our offices. In order to properly settle the claim, it would be a good idea to make a list of losses and damages without forgetting anything, as we are not responsible for items claimed subsequently. Date the document, sign it, and send it to us.

Of course, our claim settlement guarantee depends on factors such as the availability of repair parts, proper submission of the claim, and the availability of items for inspection.

It is in our best interest to resolve your claim as quickly as possible. We appreciate our customers' patience and cooperation during this time.

Should I empty my dresser drawers?

No, it is not necessary to remove clothes from your drawers. However, you should remove more fragile items such as jewelry, perfumes, books, etc.

No, this is not necessary. However, you can contact us without any problem if you want to make sure that all our information is correct.

Do I need to book well in advance?

It's impossible to determine how far in advance you'll need to book your move. However, some days are usually busier than others. So, if you're planning to move in June or early July, we recommend booking a month or more in advance.

Also note that the last days of each month are also more popular and that Saturdays fill up quickly since we carry out a maximum of 3 moves on this day of the week.

How should I pay for my move?

If your move is local, the payment method is cash only. For long-distance moves, you can pay in cash or by credit card.
